About

Hi there, my name is Aaron. This blog will be a place where I can occasionally explore the culture of innovative startups and learn how they are impacting the world. I first began learning about creating culture from summer camp. Of course, when I was a kid I didn’t know what I was learning could be called culture. I just thought we were having fun.

I’ve been fortunate to have had the opportunity to shape the culture at several impactful organizations. As a camper and counselor at Camp Ben Frankel I learned about team building and the power of mentors (we called them counselors). While in college I learned about mission, vision, and values at Camp Wildcat, a student-run camp for underprivileged youth. As the assistant director at Beber Camp I learned about the power of hiring and training the right team. Most recently, as the Director of Operations for Imerman Angels Cancer Support, I combined my prior experiences and learned how culture could make an impact for cancer patients and their family members.
